Sylvan Park

It's not much of a description: 30's or 40's, 200 pounds, blonde, white male.

This man has assaulted one person a day since Saturday (today is Monday, so that's three), all in the Sylvan Park area. This is an unprecedented crime spree in my 25-year memory of this area.

His offenses before have been theft or similar (sorry I don't have much detail). Today he went further: kidnapping, robbery and rape. I believe all his victims so far have been mature, older women, rather than young or children.

I'll add more information as it becomes available, but the best advice I can give women in Sylvan Park now is stay away from strange males approaching you, asking for money or other such lines.

May have identified him

A probable suspect has been picked out of a photograph lineup and the police are searching for him with a warrant for his arrest, according to Channel 4 at 10p tonight (Monday).

Channel 5 says other victims have come forward.

Both stations report an arrest might come as early as this evening.

Hope so, and hope it is him.

Yes, this type of monologue is helpful. I frequent this site to see if any new SP happenings have been added that I need to know. My work and travel schedules often prevent me from attending SPNA meetings, seeing the local news, or even seeing my neighbors. -So this help to keep me up with items of interest or safety/crime issues.

And related to another item I saw on the site.. I absolutely HATE the Tobacco sign at the market!
