Clarity

Please let me be very clear. My frustration is not at the individuals on the board. I am most grateful that we have members of the community that have stepped forward to keep our best interests at heart. Again, I say thanks. Obviously, as a new community challenges are going to be presented.
I would be more than happy to volunteer my services to gather names, e-mail addresses, phone numbers, addresses into a database so we can sent ''mass mailings'' via e-mail instead of costly snail-mail. Ultimately, I would like to be able to ''auto-pay'' the HOA fees, etc (paypal or auto-pay via checking...).
If this is something that the board feels would assist the community, by all means let me know.
Regards,
Mike

Thanks

I wanted to take a moment to thank Jason, Tracy, Tim, and Carol for helping me understand why certain things are done the way they are. There is a GREAT deal of work they have performed behind the scenes on our behalf and I want to take a moment to say Thanks! It helped to hear the stories and concerns of other homeowners to put our items into perspective within the ''big picture''.

You have dirt?!

I'm on the north end of the block that faces the ponds and it's definitely greener on your side of the fence. :) You have dirt! I have a very rocky back yard. It's not loose rocks, there's some solid sediment back there. True, some weeds grow through it (weeds are such hardy little creatures) and my next door neighbor fought last year to plant some trees, but I gave up hope on a lush backyard the first time I stepped on it bare food and said, ''Ouch! How does grass grow through this?'' Seriously, I do agree with your message. I wish our side of the pond was much greener! The area was poorly designed. I'm not the original owner so I have no [unfulfilled] promises from Ryland (such a shame, because I can be a very squeaky wheel). I have no green thumb when it comes to landscaping (I love the beauty on the south end of the block so thanks to whomever's done that!). It's probably a major and costly overhaul to rectify the poor design. Maybe we can spraypaint it! (Again, I'm kidding. It's only my out-of-the-box suggestion since there's probably not an easy, inexpensive, and lasting solution.)

Pond

I talked to Brickman to get a quote on this yesterday. If we do something it will not be done until the fall when the grass has some chance of growing and surviving.
