Sorry to be so late with a reply. I hope that I'm not too late and that I can help. This is a very important issue for families, one that arises every day. There are a number of questions that need to be answered. Is the Beagle (I love Beagles!) accustomed to children? Is he/she an only pet? Is he/she bonded with one of you more than the other? Which one? Has he/she ever shown jealousy of the other partner in the relationship? In any case, it would be a very good idea to contact a dog trainer who is experienced in these situations. There are several good ones in the Hillsborough/Pinellas region. Best of luck to all of you. :-)
