Now's the time to do away with yard of the month--all it does is encourage water abusers to abuse the use of water even more. TnC Civic Association did away with it recently--sounds like a good idea considering the drought stuation.

The YOM selection is made by the Bay Crest Garden Club, not by the Civic Association. We prefer not to step on their lines, but if you feel strongly about the matter, let me know and I'll give you the phone number of their president.

YARD of month is a joke

I've lived in Bay Crest for almost 7 years on Palisades Dr. which is one of the best kept streets regarding lawns & homes in the entire community.......but because none of the residents on our street are regular attendees at the civic association meetings, I have NEVER in 7 years seen a yard of the month sign displayed on a property on Palisades Dr. Many residents feel the award is only given to those who are active participants in the association, so let's either get rid of it altogether, or award it based on merit, not on cliques.
