September 20, 2001 - Annual Meeting called to order at 7:00 P.M. with 39 attending.
Topics of Discussion:
?• Election of officers - The following officers were approved: President John Borsos,
Vice President Brian Towne, Treasurer Lucy Winsor, Secretary Eileen Carcia.

?• Snow Removal Contract - with Grass Roots, Inc. is the same as last year with the exception of the Special Treatment Rider for additional plowing to open driveways. This special rider will not be available under the new contract. If you want to work out something with Grass Roots call them directly.

?• Budget Proposal - for 2001-2002 was approved with the exception of the garage sale proposal. The residents voted against the association paying for the garage sale advertisement.

?• Membership dues - This year?’s dues will again be $20.00. Please make checks payable to Tarleton Civic Association. Dues will be collected by the Block Captains.

?• Catering Business Results - As a result of our special meeting last spring, the catering business did not take place. The house has been sold. Thanks for all your participation at the meeting last spring.

?• Reminders - Passive town watch, if you feel uneasy about anything call 911, keep lamp posts and porch lights on at night, keep cars locked and off the street if at all possible at night, if there is a storm drain in front of your residence please clean it out regularly, the speed limit is 25 M.P.H. in Tarleton, the 2 trash cans in the park are helping, no motorized vehicles in the park, and the park is closed at dusk.

?• Senator Cathy Cloutier discussed the following 4 points:
1. Wilmont Drive will be completed by December 2001.
2. New signs to stop truck traffic on Shipley Road.
3. A new park path has been approved at a cost of $33,500.00, but no date as been set for its completion. The mulch path will be removed.
4. Redistricting Senators - If you want your senators to serve in the communities where they live, it is important that you sign the redistricting petition.

Several of the Lori Lane South residents asked Cathy if anything could be done about electrical problems from the storm that resulted in loss of several large appliances and a small fire in one of the homes in Tarleton. Cathy said she would look into the problem and get back to us.
