During one of the neighborhood meetings a few months ago, Sandy asked that we set up a hazardous waste clean up day. She wanted somewhere in the neighborhood where hazardous material could be collected and then taken to the Tempe Hazardous Collection site. In response to her request, I suggest a day where all unwanted hazardous trash be collected in one location. I offer to drive whatever is collected to the City site. We can pick a day and drop off location at the next Neighborhood meeting in February.

I think this is a great idea, as I often set aside things then,while waiting to take them in,forget them. The rechargeable batteries Brutus chewed into recently for example. It would be so easy to just drop into garbage, but not responsible. Thanks for helping us to be responsible!If you get car batteries and stuff, though, you ned a truck I think.
