Is anyone familiar with the laws about parking cars on the street overnight? On Hopewell there is a family (actually there are about 4 families all living together) that have anywhere from 4-7 vehicles parked in the drive, yard and on the street. They park in front of their neighbors houses (which keeps their company, friends, family, etc., from having somewhere close to park and visit. It makes it extremely difficult to back out of the driveways across from this house. Most of the vehicles are moved about every 24-48 hours, so is there anything that can be done???

Is the family you are talking about Spanish? even if they are not you can still use the covenant to get them out are get the cars under control.
1. Find our who owns the house
2. If the people living there are not the owner write the owner a letter and tell him if the condiction do not change, you will carry him to court.( for violation of the covenant)
3. If the people living there are the owner send them a letter.
In the covenant it say How many car are allowed . It also say that these house are single family and if there are more people living in them, then a violation of the covenant has occurred AND THE COURT WILL ENFORCE IT.

It took a while, but Memphis City Code Enforcement did respond at the other end of the street (orange truck, old white car, small white car, large blue boat). Keep calling code enforcement. It also helps to take pictures and fax to code enforcement.

I don't believe that the nationality of the family is important here. Safety is the main issue. There are children playing around that area. Plus the issue of being a nuisance of getting in and out of your driveway. I do know that it is a rental home. How do I find the owner and what about a copy of the convenants.
