Yes. We've been seeing them for about 5 years now. The first sighting was behind Rite Aid. After talking to one of our original ''settlers'' in the neighbor hood, we found out that raccoons have lived in our neighborhood since it was established 50 years ago. And, they are excellent rat catchers.
So while I wouldn't approach them or feed them, I don't think they would hurt anyone unless they are cornered and frightened.
