Speeding, which laws?

Richard,

Are you saying there is nothing to be done. Are we living in a community with a ''wild, wild west'' mentality?

I'm new to this neighborhood and the mere thought of it frightens me. Is there something you know that we don't? Please share- I really want to know.

Speeding--which laws

Not sure what you mean Richard. I was referring to common respect and decency for neighbors and established traffic rules, whether established by through the HOA or the city.

I still find it odd that we pay taxes for police services, but apparently can get none. That's why, in the other thread, I asked where the line is drawn for police services. Example, the SAPD posted a number for illegal fireworks in the city. If we call that number, will they respond? If a resident calls for noise violations such as loud parties and such at 2 AM, will they respond? Or does the private property rule apply only to traffic enforcement. If that's the case, where is that line? Will SAPD respond if a person runs a stop sign and hits another car, causing injury or major, disabling damage? I think we, as residents, should be aware of what police service and protection we have from the city.

The Transportation Code of the State of Texas covers private property so I am not sure why you believe that private property is exempt from state laws.
so like i said before.....

said, the signs are window dressing and at the very most, a simple reminder to stop. they are unenforceable because there is no way any kind of law enforcement (pd, bcso, e tc) will sit and wait at any of the signsand issue tickets. the community is a soft crime area and does not justify having **nothing** more than a casual drive-by by pd.

therefore, the signs are unenforceable. if there is an incident or accident event, a report will most likely be made......after the fact. how meaningful is that to an injured person?
blah, blah, blah.......then the most that can happen after that is 'i'll see you in court....civil court.

anyone have a looksee at the letter FOR the annexaion?
