What do you mean ''We COULD take steps to go through the attorney but this is an expensive avenue which we only take when absolutely necessary''? Are you saying we are not taking these steps already, and is this why these delinquent homeowners are getting away with this because the Association is being ''Too Nice to them''? If so, I will not pay either.
I AGREE TOO!

The association spelled out very clearly in a recent newsletter, the steps that would be taken if homeowners did not pay their dues. I want to know why haven't these steps been taken for all of these homes? Sure there are two or three that have been taken through these steps, but what about the rest of them? We need a strong leader who stands by the rules and ENFORCES them. I thought we had one. Violations are everywhere, though that is the job of procom, missing stop signs all over the place, and still nothing being done. Don't we have the money to pay for these legal fees to bring these homeowners to court? Forget the rec center for now, take these people to court! Who wants deadbeats living here who have no pride in their community? Just my thoughts.

I think it would be stupid for us to spend all our money on 5-6 individual and to try to get their money. I know i would not WANT MY MONEY SPENT THAT WAY. Thats complete idioticy. Very bad thinking if you do that. We pay a hefty fee for a mangement company and there are a lot of laws that not only protect us, as a homeowner association, but also a homeowner!. Read the by-laws.

Also, LEINS on a home don't effect the homeownder until he tries to get a home equity loan or a Sell's their house. So we could do that, but what will they do us? Credit Reporting is heavily protected against the consumer. Come to you next BOARD meeting and discuss this with your Board of Directors. See if you can make a change. Simple postings on the INTERNET while you sit at home won't do anything. WE NEED YOU TO BE THERE. Last meetings we only accounted for enough people to count on your two hands. Now thats ridicilous.
Procomm need to get proactive

Spending ''all'' our money on ''5-6 individual(s)'' would be ''stupid'' but, spending some of our money to enforce the by-laws that we all agreed to would not. Would you consider it O.K. to not spend any tax dollars for the SAPD not to bother enforcing some laws only be cause not everybody is violating them? Eventually that would be a popular crime. This community needs discipline! Every time someone doesn't pay their dues or violates the by-laws it undermines the foundation of this community. Do you not think it frustrates the people who take good care of their lawns only to see 3 foot weeds around the corner or people who pay hundreds of dollars a year to store their recreation vehicles/trailers elsewhere only to see someone else using our community for the same purpose at a personal cost of nothing and community cost of lowered property values, loss of sale or rent of a home or an unsightly community.

I commend all our members. Bear in mind, not everybody has the time to be there at all the meetings, although we should attempt some. What is ProComm doing? That ''hefty fee'', where is that going? Creekside should not be in the money making business here. I handle my own investments. What I don't do is manage my community. I pay someone to do that for me and have agreed to certain conditions and expect myself and other community members to comply with them and the management group to enforce them.

Defiant community members are walking all over us. Why, because we let them. Our home owners are not children. Let's stop treating them as such. It's time to get serious before this community ends up in the trash like so many others. Let us not be the reason why the more upscale communities in the area have gates. We are a premier community here. Let's keep it that way!
