You can't open the court to keep kids off the street or close the court and let kids play on the street.. You don't have that option as a resident and a PARENT. You close the court permanently until something is figured out AND keep your kids off the street.. Theres no compromise with children and as RESPONSIBLE PARENTING.

where do you want them to play? Kids will find ways to play, if it's basketball they will play in the street if no other option is open to them. Leaving the courts open is a viable solution to keeping at least some of them off the street, as for bad parenting, that's not something you can control anyway. Some people will not care where their kids play, better to have a safe place for the kids with responsible parents than no place at all.
