Went to the last neighborhood meeting. Things got a little heated with the cop that came to the meeting over what to do about crackhouses in the neighborhood, people loitering on hackberry, etc. It was good to see the passion but a lot of frustration as well came out. My thinking: nothing will change until folks in the neigborhood find a way to partner with the city and cops to get rid of the riff raff. Killing the messenger never works.

It's been 4 years since that post. Is there no follow - up discussion on crime in this neighborhood, or is it somewhere else?
