Parkwood is lanquishing

Posted in: Parkwood
I would just like to say that I find is terribly sad at the lack of pride shown by homeowners and renters who fail to maintain their properties. I wonder if you realize how irritating it is for your neighbors who deal with your falling down fences, weed filled, and uncut lawns, and such. Whether you own the home or not, it is still your repsonsibility to ensure the property is well kept. This all points to a ''declining'' not thriving neighborhood. We now have graffiti appearing on fences, light poles and boxes. The concrete tables by the pool have been vandalized as well, and anyone who walks, or bikes through the ravine, have you noticed the green Pavillion table that is now in the wash. I guess kids, or may the deer find it a great place to hang out.
Just because our neighborhood is getting older doesn't mean it has to look old. Where is your Parkwood Pride?
And why isn't the board and maintenance association getting after residents that refuse to comply with Association guidlines?

What should the HOA do?

Kim has some very good points! What should the HOA Board of Directors and the Property Manager do? Are they doing it???

Also what is each homeowner and/or leasor doing as their part? Should we report problems to the Property Manager? Should we talk to our neighbors first?

Should the HOA ''fix'' the problems and then bill the owner?

Let's DO SOMETHING to FIX up Parkwood!
Improvements Needed

Taking a look around, it would appear the trailers in the driveways need to be put some where else. The leaning or broken fences need repair and straightening. The overgrown lawns need trimming, and with all the rain, they will need even more attention. Some garage doors need repair. The list could go on and on!

Seems we could use a Big Clean Up Day in Parkwood! If there is a problem we should start reporting it to the Property Manager and find out the status of correcting the problem.

Properties Look Terrible

I agree with Kim. We work very hard to maintain our yard and the rental property next door is such an eyesore, we just look at it in disgust! We've had 6 renters in 8 years that we have lived here. Five of them have been evicted.
