The End of Alta Vista ?

Posted in: Alta Vista
Hey folks, the is William Bender, neighborhood hyperactivist for you neighbor-neighborhood, Beacon Hill. Thought I would drop you a line and give you-all the heads up on a recent development. Seems that after years of attaching the name of his sorry-ass program, MidTown on Blanco, to both the Beacon Hill and Alta Vista Neighborhood Associations, and after years of failing to accomplish a single thing with thousands of dollars, Mr. Reyna has decided that he now not only qualified to represent Beacon Hill Neighborhood, but he is representing Alta Vista as well. Me, I am relieved. No more running toward the sound of gunfire, no more initiating code compliance complaints, no more delivering flyers door-to-door in 100 degree heat, no those days are all over because now we have a super-sized neighborhood association called ''MidTown'' to take care of all those problems for us. See, we in Beacon Hill were struggling along as best we could with no money, but now that Rick and his board represents both Beacon Hill and Alta Vista, and what with the @$300,000 dollars he has to spend, the new MidTown Neighborhood Association should be able to do all of what we used to do for free and then some. It was sure nice knowing you, Alta Vista, I thought someday we might be able to become friend.
