Coats to Warm the Hearts Press Conference was held Thursday the 4th

A brief press conference on the steps of  Pawtucket City Hall for NAP's Warm Hearts Coats program.
The cold snap reminds us of more coats for our neighbors are needed now.
Golden Living from Attleboro has reached out to the NAP + have filled for a need for those missed before and those who have become in need of a coat, due to those folks increasing with the economic hardships. Thanks to the efforts more people will be warmed with both food and clothing.
Mayor Jim Doyle presented certificates & shared  a few words to NAP and others helping again with food and coats for our neighbors. The Mayors office has offered to be a dropoff to collect more coats and food.
St John the Baptist Food and Coat Pantry was there to support, as well to put to quick use -these coats.

Thanks for the neighbors who are reaching out for others with bags and boxes of coats. Many thanks. Remember you can drop them off at City Hall and I will try to see if there might be other places to drop off as well.

Dear Arthur,

I recall the days in the middle 1990's when the St. Matthew Trinity Lutheran Food Pantry would serve five people per month.  Now, our church serves 1,750 clients per month.  Since 2006, the monthly numbers and pantry use keeps rising.  Around one third of whom the SMTLC pantry serves are children.

These economic times bring scary prospects for those people who are unemployed or barely working.

Good luck to the food and coat drive.
