how pleased we were to return from vacation to see the "Jungle" that was on the empty lots had been mowed down !  This gave a whole new clean look to Oakwood Village.

Question is - if anyone can answer - was this done finally because of the complaining of the overgrowth, or is this something that is now going to be done on a regular basis ?  Because driving in and seeing all of that out-of-control growth makes things look a little unkempt.  And if it's not going to be a regular thing, how can we make it become so ?

We also had a jungle in Oakwood Village that was removed Laughing. I'm not sure what exactly enacted the removal but am certainly happy about it.

I am thinking that the complaints by the homeowners about the overgrowth

is what set it into action. We had snakes, ticks, flees, etc in the growth. I am hoping

it is a regular thing. The only way to make sure is to keep calling the county and placing complaints about it. I had asked Lee Polk, the CAM, about the jungle removal and she didn't seem to know who did it. That makes me assume that our calling helped! I say let's keep calling because all this rain is only going to make it grow faster!
