Where do you propose this playground would be set up. This will greatly depend on whether or not I will support it.

The best spot will probably be in the big open field in the middle of the town houses (Brushleaf, Gablebend, and Berrywood). If I remember correctly in the 1st design on the complex there was suppose to be a playground area there. With the changing of builders, twice, it might have been removed. |

I don't have kids but I think a playground and doggy park area would be nice. Although, I am sure there would be a lot of insurance issues involved with putting in a playground because it would have to be a commercial grade unit with the rubber mulch etc. Then who would maintain it? I am only familair with all of this because I am in the country club business and we had to jump through a million hoops getting playground items added to the property.

Your right, in speaking with Lee this suggestion would have to be cleared by the board as there maybe some insurance related issues that may come up. As far as maintanence, well I think the mulch would have to be the responsibility of the HOA, which im sure they would reflect that cost in our dues.
I think the best thing we can do is propose this to the board and ask for an estimate of how this would impact us as homeowners. I personally belive that it would help both the community from both a living perspective and value of our property somewhat. |
