Hi everyone. Based on the information I heard, it seems the best day and time is Wednesday the 9th around 6pm. We can set to meet at the Brentwood Community room (see if it's open), if not and we need light there's always the gym :). Bring with you yourself and any and all ideas you have to better the community. Some things to address:

- neighborhood watch

- garbage on corners, mailboxes and around dumpsters, turkey vultures

- pets (waste, rotweillers, pit bulls, leashes)

- abandoned vehicles

- landscaping

- cul-de-sac vandalizing in Oakwood Village

- renters list

- community involvement/ get togethers

I look forward to meeting you all....and of course tell your neighbors! :D

it is Wednesday the 11th not the 9th. Heather got it a little mixed up.

Hey everyone. I typed up an agenda of things that have been brought up. I know it's not in the best format... copy and paste isn't perfect :). For those not able to attend please voice your opinion on any of the below topics or let us know anything you are concerned about.

Enjoy the day!

Heather

  1. Mailboxes
    1.    i.     A garbage bin was requested to place by the mailboxes but the costs is a few hundred dollars. It was said it was not in the HOA budget.

5)   Pets

  1. Hillsborough County Animal Services 813-744--5660
  2. Please “nicely” encourage dog owners to pick up their dog’s waste
    1.      i.     Carry two bags so you have one to offer to someone that may have “forgot” to bring one :D
    2.        ii.     If waste is not picked up in the empty lots it makes it harder when they come to mow the “jungle”. This might deter some companies from coming in to cut since it can ruin their equipment.
  3. All dogs must be on leashes.
    1.       i.     This is not only a community rule but also a county rule.
  4. Pit Bulls and Rotweillers

7)   Landscaping

  1. The 2009 budget decreased the cost of landscaping down to ~$80,000
    1.           i.     All that includes is mowing and trimming
    2.           ii.     Replanting and mulch are not included
    3.          iii.     We need to voice our opinion on this matter since landscaping greatly affects how our community looks
      1. What is the cost vs. benefit of a cheaper service?

8)   Cul-de-sac in Oakwood Village

  1. Vandalism
    1.       i.     There are cars going back there to “hang out”
    2.       ii.     Most if not all of the streetlights have been smashed.
    3.      iii.     There is tons of litter ranging from cigarette cartons, McDonalds bags, to empty beer cans and bottles
  2. Solution:
    1.       i.     E-mail Lee about getting in touch with the city to put up orange barrels that makes it impossible for vehicles to travel back there.

9)   Renter’s List

  1. I had to formally send a letter to the homeowners association about obtaining the list of addresses that they have for the homeowners.
    1.        i.     They have to return it within 30 days of the request
    2.        ii.     We will be able to see which townhomes are occupied by homeowners and which are renters
      1. We can make sure the renters understand the rules of The Hammocks

10)  New HOA Meeting

  1. I requested the following be put in the board’s agenda to be discussed at the next meeting
    1.                                                i.     All homeowners are REQUIRED to do background checks (whether through the police or from previous landlords)
    2.                                               ii.     That all homeowners are REQUIRED to issue the communities rights and regulations to their tenant
