We had a wonderful Christmas Brunch on Saturday the 20th.  Excellent food and fellowship. Thanks to Jim Faris and all his helpers. Looking forward to next year. Thanks too to Doris Morgan for the donation of REAL silverware.  It sure was nice to use instead of plastic!

Our Annual Community Meeting will be January 26 at 2:00 pm.  Please join us in welcoming our new board members: Julia Collins, Vice President and Jim Wilson, Secretary.  All of our board members deserve a round of applause for taking such good care of our community.  They are the back bone of the community. The committee chairmen and all the volunteers who give their time to put on our socials, decorate the subdivision, keep us informed of needed prayers and visit the sick or injured, deserve a round of applause as well.  We truly live in a blessed community.

Our big island is looking great and now Peggy Leicht has donated another bench for the island and Donnie Mingis will refurbish it to match the current bench.   Thanks Peggy and Donnie!

FYI – The City of Monroe has been working on several of our uneven sidewalks.  Mike will meet with the City Rep. and walk the subdivision to check all of the walks again as well as curbs, etc. If you have any concerns regarding a sidewalk, etc. please call Mike and give him your information as soon as possible.

HINT:  If you are having trouble with deer eating your plants, Pocket Patterson says to try garlic powder or granules.  Just sprinkle around plants and redo it after it rains.  Give it a try; it’s working on the pansies at the front entrance.
