What should we do with the mall? It has lost the appeal of a high class mall and seems to be a haven for gangsters.

Gangster haven?
What happened to the quiet community of Raleigh? I have moved into a home that was built by my parents in 1963. I can't believe the total disrespect ranging from boom cars, horn honking, vial language in public places, Something has to be done to delete this ghetto activity..No wonder why the property value is so low! |

I agree. But we can't just sit back and do nothing. That's why they continue as they do. There are new people on the corner from where I live and they have several cars driving up there all day long and they play the music so loud. We said something to them about it once and they stopped, but the other night they started again. We call the police and it's been peaceful ever since. We are going to HAVE to get involved and get the police involved and let these people know that we are NOT going to let them start this stuff in this neighborhood. This neighborhood will NOW become a North Memphis and South Memphis. But it will if we sit back and don't say anything. Let's get busy. We don't have to get out there and fight ourselves. That's what the police are for, but most of us just let it be and don't call the police. For heaven's sake, CALL and put a stop to this! |

Correction! This neighborhood will NOT become a North Memphis or South Memphis. Also, let's get together and call Kroger Company and let them know that we want a newly renovated Kroger also. The manager at the Austin Peay Kroger says that unless we get on Kroger Company, they DO NOT plan to renovate our store like they have done the Krogers in other areas. We should not have to pass our Austin Peay Kroger and run all the way out to Bartlett when we can have a really nice one right here too. Call them, neighbors, and get on them!!! |
