Thiensville Village Neighbors

Criminal Element-Who's to Blame

Posted in: Millwood Park
I have found that too many people want to put the blame for ''bad'' children on
teachers, church leaders, government, neighbors, etc on anyone but the real
culprits. How do we, as neighbors help
the parents of these ''bad'' kids take
responsibility for the actions of these
''bad'' kids. After the kid is shot, arrested or kills - the parent comes forth with a desire to paint this rosy picture of a child they never knew. Let us not kid ourselves,it takes village to raise a child but it takes the discipline of the parent
to strengthen the ''sprout' to prevent it from becoming a weed. Can we consider having parenting classes?? Effective discipling strategies. Tutoring is excellent for the child but if the parent can't read...
Parenting Classes a good idea

Excellent idea. Parenting classes along with GED prep to aid in educating adults with no high school diploma. I suggest that ''Anonymous'' contact the President, Karan Stewart, and outline how and where this could be done. Perhaps by contacting MATC or a local school for ideas or donations.
