About the Association

Our Mission

The Timrod park Neighborhood Association's mission is to preserve, promote and maintain the character of our neighborhood community and its beauty, safety and overall livability.

Our Goal

Our goal is to create a community with respect for the past by protecting and revitalizing character of our neighborhood and striving to provide residents with a sense of community.

Our Objectives

  • To be citizens and neighbors who share a sense of community with one another and the City of Florence for the purpose of appreciating our unique architectural history.

                   .

  • To be committed to safety and the quality of life in our neighborhood, while sharing friendship, fun and pride in our homes and families.

                   .

  • To educate ourselves and our community about our area’s special character and unique history and to preserve it for future generations.

About Us

The neighborhood association assumes responsibility for providing services beyond those provided by the city, all of which work towards insuring property values, providing for safety, maintenance, and the quality of life in Timrod Park neighborhood.  Each month we have representation from Florence Police Department on site to provide a crime report for the prior month.  We also invite a guest speaker to present on a topic that is relevant to the neighborhood.  The association also uses this time to present any matters that warrant discussion and/or a vote by the association.  It's a great time to meet your neighbors and to keep up with what is going on in our neighborhood.  Please join us, as often as you can and be a good neighbor - bring a neighbor with you!

Monthly Meetings

Our association meetings are on the first Wednesday of every month at 7:00 PM.  The meeting is held in the Billy Jeffers building in Timrod Park (building between the tennis courts).

Membership

The membership of the association is comprised of individual members who own property, reside (rent or own), or operate business within the geographic area of the Timrod Park Neighborhood.
