Problems with Suburban Waste

Has any one else been having problems with Suburban Waste not picking up recycling, not being consistent on the time they pick up the garbage and incorrect billing? For the last two recycling pick up times they have not picked up the recycling. I have had to dispose of this myself. It is only after I have called to inquire why they have not picked it up I was informed that I was not using the ''proper container for my recycling''. This was not an issue when we started with Suburban and they did not inform us of this issue until I inquired about it. Cheaper is apparently not always better. I like the idea of having one garbage company collecting the trash for the neighborhood but I will not be using Suburban any more.

Suburban Waste

Hi Steve,
I have been getting a lot of complaints about Suburban Waste's service. I know they had some issues for the last two weeks, due to the snow. But in general, they are really more of a hassle to deal with than a help. Larry Blamer, the president of the HOA, has a meeting with the owner of Suburban Waste this month, to talk about their service and other issues that various homeowners have been having. Hopefully something will be in the February newsletter. If you want more information, please email me and I can keep you updated.
Not Cheap anymore!

Apparently we didnt have a agreement with Sburban Waste as my rates went high as the other waste companies this year. I joined tham as were encouraged by our Board for better terms for allof us, but that's the case and your right they are awful when it comes to service. I dont understand why our Board doesn't get something better lined up for us. If it has taken them fours years to have discussions about the playgrounds, why should we expect them to do anything right?

I have had fairly decent service, although they did miss picking up my recycling last month. I had my own containers out, clearly labeled and I watched the guy drive right by. I called them and they promptly came back and picked up the next day. I am a bit disappointed the rates just went up, but they assured me they are still cheaper than competitors. This claim I have not taken the time to verify.
