Greetings once again fellow homeowners!
Wanted to give some brief updates regarding important issues. Please take a moment now to go through this column in its entirety. I kept it short and sweet to make good use of your time.
Hopefully you?’ve had a pleasant summer and look forward to cooler temperatures.
ILLEGAL STREET PARKING. We are really trying to crack down on the number of cars being parked illegally on our streets. Remem-ber, if you notice a vehicle parked on your street or any TSHOA street and want action, the homeowner must notify APM in writing of the particulars: when, where, license number, type of vehicle and a picture if you can provide it. (Written Only)
SEND ME YOUR E-MAIL ?– If you have not sent me your contact e-mail, please do so now to tmccain@perfdata.com. E-mail is becoming a valuable tool to not only send the monthly newsletter but also to allow an efficient communication between your board, the association manage-ment and you. (Keep tuned regarding the TSHOA Web-Site)
UPDATE OF THE ?“GATED COMMUNITY?” IDEA ?– First let me say thank-you to all of those who have called or e-mailed me with your thoughts regarding this possible undertaking. One of the most practical ideas came from our former President Pete Menconi, when he suggested simply doing something with the 7th Street entrance to detour the flow through traffic. One idea was to permanently block the entrance by continuing the walls on both sides until joined then plant trees and grass to make the look uniform. Another idea was to simply gate the entrance. (Again, this is all in a discussion forum, so there is no reason to panic.) My personal feeling is that the gated solution may be the most functional and esthetic solution. However I have been warned the price could run fairly high ($35,000). I am taking a few bids within the month and will report back to you through this column if the city will allow us to gate and exactly the costs involved. Again, this is an exploratory project only and no action will take place until all is considered.
GET INVOLVED WITH TSHOA ?– OK; this section is for all of you first-timers?…all you who chose Town Square for its beauty, charm and warmth. Many, many other folks through the years have volun-teered their time to protect and improve our community. All I am asking you to do is this ?—consider the possibility of attending monthly board meetings or better yet, consider serving on our board sometime in the future. (I owned a home for 14 years in our community before getting pulled in by Marietta.) But, I am glad she did. This is our community and your time to serve will come as well.
NUMBER OF RENTAL PROPERTIES AMENDMENT TO CC&R?’S ?– We are close to a majority vote. If you have not responded to APM with a written vote on this very important amendment, please take a moment to do so NOW.
Thanks again & I will look forward to reporting to you next month.
