The Board of Directors is offering a new assistance to Association members in policing our parking policy.
The Association Regulations stipulate that parking enforcement must be initiated by a member of the Association, via a letter written to the management company (APM). APM then sends a notice to the offending resident, and sends a blind copy of that letter to the member initiating the action. The initiating member then must check to ensure the vehicle is parked properly, or that member can inform APM that the offending vehicle is still improperly parked, at which time the Board can assess a fine.
That procedure is not changing. If you want to correct an improper parking practice, you must still write the letter to APM, and you must still check for the correction. However, to ensure APM does the proper follow up, you can send a copy of your letter to Pete Menconi (address is shown on the last page). Pete will bug APM to perform.
Please note! You must follow the rules ?— write the letter to APM and copy Pete with that letter. Do not send the letter only to Pete. Do address the letter to APM. Don't call Pete to complain about parking (you will find that experience very unsatisfactory). You must still check to ensure the vehicle is moved to a proper place. Pete is--definitely-NOT going to drive around the neighborhood checking on vehicles.
But for those who suspect APM has not followed these things up as well as they should, the Board will help ensure the process is properly executed. Make sure you play your part correctly.
