Towne Lake Garden Association

I went out of town for the Memorial Day weekend and a 74 year old friend stayed at my house to watch my 91 year old mother.  On Saturday night, her car was stolen out of my driveway.  The thief/thieves were stelthy because my dog did not bark.  Yes, the police were called and a report made but it is unlikely her car will be found. 

Two things: Please be very careful with what you leave outside your garage.  I know we've had cars broken into but in this case, the vehicle was taken. Secondly, the car was a red Honda Civic about 9 years old.  If anyone saw anything, please let me know.

I believe it's time to revisit COP and form a committee to oversee and perform a service to our community. COP is an acronym for Citizens on Patrol.

It is a volunteer group of neighbors that monitor the neighborhood and report suspicious activities that are happening in the community.

If you are interested in becoming a COP member send and email to me and I'll report it to the president of the association.

Yes, I am very interested.  Please phone me at 287-9843.  The woman who had her car stolen is hardly in a position to replace the vehicle. She had no theft insurance so this is a hardship for her.  Towne Lake is our neighborhood and I think we need to look out for each other--if COP is the solution then I'm all for it.  Thank you for your reply.
