I agree competely w/ homeownertl questions regarding video cams. They are way too low. Kids see them and may gawk and of course, look for ways to knock them down, cover or break the lens, or simply destroy them. If they increase my dues because of this I will be extremely po'ed. Did they increase dues? I wouldnt know because once again the meeting was held during a bad time for me. Unlike some of the retired members, I work during the week and late night. That aside, any takers as to how long the cameras will last?  I say two months at best---

Hello all, I am a board member and have no Idea whom made that decision.

I only found out when I had several home owners knock on my door to ask me.

I appologize for the way this was implemented, I will find out what happen.

Please understand alot of us want cameras or any device that will help improve security.

I just think it was done poorly and it should be improved/fixed before we pay the contractor. It looks to me like the one in the island is already leaning to one side!!

Prior to throwing money at any issue to solve a problem, we should be looking at what our existing conditions is and if they are adequate enough to produce the outcomes that we want.

Currently our entry gate access system does not work in the way it was designed to work. It remains open for extended periods of time. The side entry gate, for pedestrians remains open as well. If the gate remains open for an extended period of time due to faulty wiring, this should be corrected.

If we have spent hours and money on this issue and we still do not have a gate that functions properly, then it may be time for the community to purchase a new entry gate system.

Spending money on a video system is pointless if the gate does not work.
