Thank You. I did receive the L and N budget. I had asked, this week, for the recent one, and that is the one that was dropped off to me on Sunday. Regardless of the snow removal, the amount collected is far more than what is needed. My main concern is the 10% raise.
When do the homeowners get to vote on these expenses? I.E. the monthly service, the ground maint. bids, ect.
I am a little concerned that the board is trying to collect the money and spend it however they would like. The website is lousy. $57 for that? Free websites are offered all over the place such as Geocities.
If there is a budget for 2009, that is current, I would like to speak about it at this meeting tomorrow night. From what I have heard, the increase has upset a few homeowners.
As with any expense, the person spending the money expects something back. In this situation, there is not anything valuable to the homeowners. We all respect that there are taxes and upkeep. I do not object to paying for this. I do object to the board trying to collect as much as they can and spending it at their leisure. That is not professional or respectable.
Regarding a "reserve", not everyone wants to live here forever. It is not fair to use their money for future issues. That is why it is termer "annual fee". It is also not fair to raise the fee without consent, even though you had the "power" to do it on paper.
I am anxious for this meeting to see the general opinion about the fees for 2009.

if enough people show at the meeting- call for a vote to dissolve the current board and HOA...

if not -contact a lawyer and find out if a petition with a majority of homeowners signing is enough- I'm sure you can get enough people to sign off on that.

after all ...thats how they got elected in the first place - walking around with a sheet seeking signatures...

we need not all be present to vote,imo..

I heard AP Croll turned over their votes to the board. I do not know if this is true or not

please update us on all the lies that will be told to you at the meeting re: fee increase...I can't wait to hear this...
