Anyone had a good experience with a tree service.  We used All Affordable 8 years ago and the guy was cheap but a loon.  I need to have some trees trimmed

 We used Arbor Barbor for our property as well as my mother's. His price was good, they were careful and he did a good job. His name was Devon (973) 479-9555. Look for his discount coupons in the clipper magazine and the coupon mailer packets that come in the mail.

We used Tree King to remove one mid-sized tree, and to remove some tall aborivites, and trim a tree.  We left the stumps in the ground to control erosion. It took about 2 weeks to get them to come, and they were reasonably priced.  But, the estimator came out as another tree removal company man was leaving, so he was probably trying to beat his offer. 

However, I found that you better have a good idea which branches you will be cutting, because they move very fast once they come out with several men. They were out of here before I had a chance to really look around and see if I wanted anything else trimmed.

They did pick up the unwanted tree parts, and cleaned up after themselves. What I did not ask is what happens to the tree they remove. They apparently cut it and sell the wood to someone else. So you may want to tell them to chop it for you if you are looking for firewood.
