That's beacause the HOA led them to believe they unlike the rest of the neighorhood were going to get something for nothing. I know I remember correctly(because I brought it up)
in the Gas Lease meetings at the school it was brought up that fences were not my/our resonsibilty but the responsibility of the homeowner, and this gas lease would be like the last a bunch of BS...If you should get a royalty check for any ammount...DON'T CASH IT YOU WILL BE LOCKED IN FOR ANOTHER 3 YEARS!!! If you wanna play their games let another company come in and give you another 1200 to 1500 and make empty promises for the next 3 years. There are residents in River Trails that take pride enough in our community that if we have a vacan property next to us we keep it mowed, replace your fences for goodness sake, if you can't afford to keep your property up, move into an apartment, if you have someone disabled or a senior citizen next to you or a widow/er THIS IS TEXAS HELP THEM FOR GOD SAKE! Pitch in and take pride in where you live or leave. When I was growing up we didn't have to have a residential government that we paid our hard earned money to to make us do what was right, Just do it because it's right.
