Actually the small plot of land has nothing to do with indians.  It was a horse farm that belonged to a gentlemen and when he died he deeded it to his son and two daughters.  Newell wanted to buy it in 2000-2001 when he started all the development, and one daughter and the son refused so they kept there propert.  That can change should the decide to sell.  The letter I got as well as everyone else on Saranac appears to have zoning outlined for light commercial, Industrial at the 820/trinity curve south east corner of trinity and 820 and houses on the  mountain(water has to drain somewhere and we're downhill and the trails by the lot that was fenced as future residential up to the gas well and yes it is tagged as flood plane(don't worry though there's a "small"mitigation pond).  Maybe instead a fence at the front we can barter for a levy!  You may call Riverbend Investments(Ken Newell at 817/589-9100 to inquire.  Apparently according to the letter The City Development Review Commitee has already approved the plans but the hearing to be held at 1:30 8/25 downtown invites public input.
