Today Pro-Neighborhoods decided to partially fund a grant proposal for our seniors program. They will be awarding MidVale Park Seniors(MVPS) $2500.00! There will be a dinner where we will officially be awarded the grant and start the paperwork. Carol Ostrander from Pima Council on Aging has helped us with this process. She and the Seniors Care Alliance have set up programs around the area. Joanie at Pro-Neighborhoods has also been very helpful. Brenda and Teddi worked very hard putting the proposal together. This program will allow seniors who want to live in their homes to live in their homes longer. It will match volunteers with seniors. Volunteers with help with trips to the doctor or grocery store. They can help rake the yard or change a light bulb. I truly feel this is the beginning of something very special in our area
