Only to have lived here for 5 years, it did not take me long tosee that this place is in need of help. Knowing that the cove did not want to hire someone to maintain the beaches, I offered my services of Grass cutting, weed eating, litter pick up. In exchange for no water bill, and use of the pool for the kids. Due to lack of security personel, Outsiders where trashing the beaches faster than could be maintained. Broken Glass being my main concern. The trade out was not worth the amount of money I was spending on gas alone. Nails were left behind because the drunks would set pallets on fire for a bon-fire, and not think that kids would be dwn the next day or two an get a nail in the foot. Turtle cove's office was made aware. As far as I seen never did anything about it. Now if you were an atv rider, dont let them catch you riding the power lines, the folks out here will pick up the phone and call in-wow. The power line trails are much cleaner than the beaches. The other day we got the news letter about the kids playing at the park and riding bikes around the parking area. True it may not be wise to ride where people are driving so is it different for golf carts to ride the roads even while drinking beer before and after a game of golf. They ride around with coolers so they are sure to have another cold one ready. No big deal, just stay outta my way kid, because I am D.U.I.  Not to mention the trails for the golf cart  that cut through the (green way) to the golf corse. just dont ride your four wheeler on the green way. lmao. About the coves bar... well I was told they wanted someone new and live entertainment. On the same note was told to play certain types of music. Not much will change if your gonna have someone new play what your use to hearing. It was your dime so did what you wanted. Let me tell ya it was a short lived relationship. I had better turn outs at the beach pumping the music out with no rules, playing off the back of my trailer. July 4th. whipperwill beach 2010. So in a nut shell just pay your $300 dues to live here and get nothing out of it. Let me ask this question... Why do you think people dont want to pay? Its not used for anyting but to go in someone's pocket. Around here it's who ya rub elbows with or how good you can kiss that BUTT.  some of the elders should be ashamed, because they have some really good people that do try to make it so much better and atleast offer to hear ya out. Not to mention one of the workers does not even live in the cove. I have seen this person work in the club house, as well as on foot on the grounds (all) over turle cove. Maybe its time to let the old step aside and bring in the new. Times are very hard and thats on everyone. we come from all walks of life here. Maybe we should Rethink. Just a thought. Now I have to go dig my wifes car out of the snow and ice. Just speaking my mind.

WELL SAID!

Hey I read your post and think we (the neighborhood) should all go to the next meeting and voice our opinion. I know it doesn't do a whole lot of good, I have complained several times, but maybe eventually they will start to change some things.  I am currently researching what as a home owners association by law can and has to do.  We have also been in TC for 5 yrs and we use whipporwill beach and it is NASTY!!!! I just feel like if I have to give my $ to a HOA they need to do something, I don't know a whole lot of people in the subdivision but maybe we can all spread the word.

sounds like a plan
