?• Welcome: T Surinak
?• Old business
o Shared responsibilities: T. Surinak
?• More TLS neighbors are needed to volunteer for TLS responsibilities (posting signs, taking meeting minutes, soliciting guest speakers, attending city and county meetings, etc.)
o Lights Survey: J. Rodrick
?• Proposed survey was revised to include more information and presented to residents at the January TLS meeting. Additional information is also presented on the TLS website. The next step is to contact the City of OP for printing and distribution mailing.
?• New business
o City of Fort Lauderdale water: M. Delman
?• Requested a representative from Ft. Lauderdale water, but they declined. Residents need to contact City of OP and read back of water statements for information pertaining to water quality, testing, and chlorination schedules. Also, it is posted in the Sun-Sentinel.
?• Water fees may be increasing
o Oak Tree Neighborhood Coalition: Jed Shank
?• 2/20 OP Commission meeting to vote on 17-story development at Cypress Creek and I-95. The current height restriction for OP is 4 stories. The developer is requesting a waiver. Concerned residents should attend commission meeting and petition commissioners.
?• Oaktree Golf Course rezoning is currently tabled due to owner-developer disputes.
?• Heidi and Jed Shank will continue to attend Oak Tree Neighborhood Coalition meetings
o Screening for lake: T Surinak
?• Presented an email from Brian Hopper, Parks and Recreation Assistant Director, requesting a letter of approval from TLS Neighborhood Organization for removal of invasive species around lake and planting of native trees to screen lake. Brian Hopper held a meeting in January for the 13 effected lake homeowners and mailed letters to them asking for permission. He did not receive a response from the 13 residents.
?• It was the consensus of the neighbors at the TLS Neighborhood meeting that Brian Hopper should survey the lake residents again. No lake residents were in attendance at the TLS Neighborhood meeting.

?• Propose agenda items for March: T Surinak will contact the Budget Dept and/or Ray Lumboski, Asst. to the City Manager, to request a presentation for the March meeting.
?• Open discussion
o Speed bumps for NW 11th Ave are going before the OP Commission for approval.
o RR tracks at Powerline and Prospect are scheduled to be repaired soon
o OP Commission meeting on January 23, 2008 was attended by J. Rodrick and M. Delman
?• $76,000 spent in false alarm responses
?• City is proposing a fee for false alarms
?• Budget cuts are coming
?• Abandon vehicles with legal tags were discussed
?• City is proposing 1 recreational vehicle per house and must be homeowner?’s vehicle
?• City is proposing 1 shed per house
o Neighbor reports that her dog was bit by a pit bull at Oakland Bark Park; there are no restrictions on pit bulls or other aggressive breeds at the park
?• Adjourned at 7:55 PM
