Hurricane Preparedness

Code Red

In the event of an emergency, such as a boil water order, up to two (2) of your phone numbers will be contacted. This is a free service and very easy to access. Register your phone numbers at https://login.coderedweb.com/codereddataentry/index.cfm?GroupId=1218

FEMA Certification

Due to last year's abuses of FEMA money and supplies, volunteers must have FEMA certification to access FEMA supplies. This includes picking up and delivering ice and water to our neighborhood! Also, if a curfew or stay-at-home order is issued, only FEMA certified volunteers may leave their homes. FEMA certification is easy and open to any adult. FEMA certification can be achieved by taking an one-hour on-line course at www.fema.gov/emergency/nims/nims_training.shtm
or by attending the Volunteer Program training. Interested persons can contact Ken Martin at kl5524@bellsouth.net for more information. The more FEMA certified volunteers in our neighborhood, more priority access to needed services and supplies is provided. If you complete FEMA certification, please contact Tricia Surinak so she can compile a list of FEMA volunteers in our neighborhood.
