Many of the cast from The Play "Haven't I Seen You On The Corner", which was presented at the Riffe Center's Capitol Theater in May are Expanding on What They have learned. The cast was made up of individuals who have never been on the stage in a play before. They went through one year of preparation for the play by going through various workshops (Approx. 25) which taught them fundamental of being an actor and how to put a major play together. After a huge sucess with "Haven't I Seen You On The Corner", many of the cast members have pulled together to form a theatrical group called, STARR LANE VENTURES. This group consist of a combination of individuals who are performance poets and aspiring actors. They will be performing in their second group performance on July 23rd at The Adoration and Peace Church in the Bryden House, 1555 Bryden Road, at the corner of Bryden and Kelton (3rd floor Chapel)at 4:00pm. The presentation is called, " Do It Before It's Too Late" as is
from the inspired writings of Suerathia C. Turner and under the direction of Aisha Bondurant-Morris. Some of the Starr Lane Venture's member who will appear are: Pamela Fatimah, Carlisa Graham, Anita Jones, Cherie Bondurant, Michella Hinton, Charles Bondurant, Carmen Agee. Ms. Aisha Morris will be also be performing. The gorup believes that the message the project will be powerful and entertaining.
