If you have any interest in serving in public office, or if you'd like to help others get elected, be sure to plan on attending your neighborhood caucus March 16. If you want to understand the Colorado Caucuses, participate in the free online Action Class in Practical Politics. There are 4 sessions or "weeks" but you can start at any time and catch up. See http://www.COCaucus.org

Are you planning on attending your neighborhood caucus? Why or why not?

I will be attending -- If you want to be involved in politics, go to your caucus meeting and try to become an elected delegate (anyone can do it!) representing your precinct at the County Assembly.  It's an experience any political junkie needs to have!  -- The State Assembly is even more fun -- Get involved now!

I agree, it is a great experience.

The strong grassroots involvement is the best way of fighting the problems in government right now, that's where true power comes from in our representative system of government. Focusing on the top is just rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.

Yes, one person can make a difference. But as Dwight Eisenhower said, in our system of government, poltics should be the part-time occupation of every citizen.
