Last evening 3/10/08, at approximately 10:45, a car without the lights on visited our neighborhood.  Someone attempted to steal "jeeves" our lawn jockey again!!!  "jeeves" light shone brightly during this heist, it was not a deterrent, but the weight of a solid concrete lawn jockey saved him yet again!! This very same thing happend last spring as well.  Thanks to the quick thinking of Linda Rhodes (aka Nancy Drew), the license plate number was reported to the police. The police came and gathered additional information from Linda and us.  These night visitors, also visited another home on Mystery Rose when they realized "jeeves" was too heavy to steal, and attempted to enter the vehicle parked in the driveway to no avail, it was locked.  The lights were on there as well.

Thanks to Linda..aka Nancy Drew!!!  I agree that the lights do not seem to be a deterrent.. atleast in this case.  Our house had the most lights on in the cal-de-sac.

I have the names and a contact number....we also have 2 years to press charges if they come back to the neighborhood.

It does concern me that you mention they tried to enter a vehicle!!
