I would like to share the below with you. A woman I work with was mugged last spring. The mugger was caught. Often a victim is unwilling to testify in court for one reason or another. The below is what can happen when the victim does go to court.
"Mary reports that the man arrested in her assault last March, suddenly decided to plead guilty to all the charges yesterday. It turns out he was involved in a lot more mischief than just purse snatching in the company parking lot! When he found out that Mary and the arresting policeman were in the court building, waiting to testify against him, he asked for the plea and will now serve at least 8, and possibly 20 years in jail.
Score one for the good guys! And congratulations to Mary for having the courage to show up and testify against him."
