II. Project Review – Early/Preliminary Review – Not Subject to Action
a. 222 Laurel (Temple Beth Israel Site) (Process 5) – Charlotte Morrisette/Anthony Block – J. Peter Block Companies – 15 minutes – Initial presentation on firm’s proposal to build approximately 160 units at 2nd and Laurel – western portion of the Temple block.
b. Promontory Apartments (Process 5) – Mark Steele/Jennifer Ayala – M.W. Steele Architects – 15 minutes – Applicant’s redesign of project on steep disturbed hillsides where 6th Avenue ends in cul de sac north of Arbor Drive. Project would require partial vacation of paper street (6th Avenue)
c. 111 Elm (Process 5) – Joe Sapp – 15 minutes – Applicant’s proposal for adaptive reuse of office building at 111 Elm, creating 37 loft-style condominium units. Project would require a rezone of the property.
d. Mission Florence – Ian Epley – 15 minutes – Second presentation on proposed mixed-use development (residential above retail) at southwest corner of Washington Street and Albatross in Mission Hills.
e. 3744 Park Boulevard/Exclusive Cleaners – Neville Wiltmore – KMA Architects – 15 minutes – Presentation on new development proposal for previously reviewed Exclusive Cleaners site. Note: Cleaners building was previously designated historic with Uptown Planners support.
