You are invited to an open house for the Transit First Showcase Project on Monday, June 9, 2003.
The Transit First Showcase Project will show San Diegans the future of transit in our region through a 9.9 mile "starter" line. The line will serve downtown San Diego, Balboa Park, North Park, Normal Heights, Kensington/Talmadge, City Heights, the College area and San Diego State University with high-quality rubber-tired transit.
The new transit line will offer the ride quality of rail and the flexibility of a bus!
Come learn about the project, give your comments and ideas, and have a say in the future of transit in our community.
The open house at Balboa Park is at the Balboa Park Club, 2125 Park Boulevard -- enter Balboa Park and take President's Way to Pan American Plaza. The club is at the northwest corner of the large parking lot where the Automotive, Aerospace and Sports museums are located.
Hosted by the Metropolitan Transit Development Board. For more information, contact Miriam Kirshner at 619/557-4585 or mkirshner@mtdb.sdmts.com.
