III. Uptown Community Board Elections

In order to be eligible to run for a seat, a candidate must have proof of residence and/or business in the Uptown Community Plan area and have attended three out of the last six planning committee meetings and signed in. After brief presentations by each nominee, a ballot will be presented to the board and eligible audience members. In order to be eligible to vote, voters must have proof of residence and/or business in the Uptown Community Plan.

IV. Action Items – 45 minutes
Note: No items this month recommended for consent agenda

a. Traffic Calming Measures at Ibis and University Avenue – Julio Fuentes –Discussion of other potential traffic calming measures for intersection currently slated for all-way stop sign. 5 minute presentation, 10 minute discussion

b. San Filippo Residence – 2428 Curlew – Phil Reyes – Request for Neighborhood Development Permit for a two-story addition to an existing one-story unit. Second floor to encroach into permitted rear plus deviation for large picture window. 5 minute presentation, 15 minute discussion. (Project not presented at subcommittee)

c. Transit/Tandem Overlay Zone Discussion – The Community Planners Committee, working with Councilmember Frye, continues to urge review of Transit Overlay Zones and Tandem Overlay Zones. Action item to determine Uptown’s recommendation – amend, repeal or retain. 10 minute discussion.
