March Meeting to Explore Uptown Development Standards

Uptown, if you haven't noticed, lately is displaying signs of the prosperity that has been so evident during recent years in downtown Denver and where in the metropolitan region.

New construction projects are taking shape, literally before our eyes, on long-idle or vacant land throughout the Uptown neighborhood.

In most cases, the developers of this new housing have consulted with Uptown on the Hill and other interested organizations on issues of design, density and streetscape.

Aware that prosperity can often have negative implications for neighborhood design, housing affordability, land-use patterns, and architectural compatibility, Uptown on the Hill intends to devote its next 19 members.

Kimberly Alison, Josh Brodbeck, AnDrew French, Cathy Kuykendall, and Diane Peiker were elected to threeyear terms expiring in December of 2001.

The assembly of Uptown neighbors also retained Jo Campbell, Tom Currigan, Chrissy Estes, Ted Freeman, Kelli Fritts, Stephen Gale, Ed Guiducci, Tom Knorr, David
regular meeting to issues surrounding development and land use in Uptown.

The meeting, titled "Uptown Development Design and Issues CharettJ will he held Tuesday, March 16, 1999 at the Cairn Building (727 East 16th Avenue), at 6:00 pm. All are welcome to participate.
