Cub Scouts Get Ready to Cook

The Boys have been busy learning fire safety while turning recycled coffee cans into camp stoves. These handy stoves can be used to boil a quart of water in a few minutes with just a couple handfuls of twigs. Adding a half dozen pieces of charcoal turns the stove into a mini-grill that works great for a burger or a pair of 'tube steaks'. The Scouts think it's really cool to get hot coals without the use of lighter fluid. Eric sums it up with, "That stuff stinks and it's dangerous, too!" Well said Eric.
