Drainage Ditch Solved in 2007

Good news! Recieved 2 calls today from public works dept. This follows the Tues bus ride of the Eastern most neighborhoods in our councilman's ward.

Call 1: Response to the question of whether any type of planting of vegetation along the ditch would slow the siltation. Short answer, no. If, however erosion becomes an issue we need to contact pw and see about getting some rip rap in there. During this call I asked if any co-operative deal had been made w/Pleasant Hill to get their part of the ditch dredged.

Call 2: No co-operative deal. Des Moines is going to dredge all the way to 4 mile. Only stopped because of the rains! Look for it to all be done this yr.
