Spring 2003 Will Bring New Life To VJ Neighborhood

January 2003 brought about the election of new officers for VJ. Woody Halsey, President, Sara Kolb, Vice President and Debra Martinez, Secretary.

VJ To Become More Pro-Active and More Involved

VJ has seen, over the last two years, a downturn in memberships. With 2003 and newly elected officers, VJ will now actively and agressively pursue memberships and will begin to conduct meetings to keep the community informed and pro-active.

District 8 City Council 2003 Election

Remember that early voting begins April 16, 2003 and election day for city council is May 3 (Saturday). There can be no excuse for not voting. Take an active role in your community and the selection of our leaders.

Additionally, on Monday, April 7, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. there will be a candidates forum at Howsmand Elementary (next to Cody Library). The public is encouraged and invited to attend and ask questions of all the candidates. Also, there will be another candidates forum on Wednesday, April 9, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. at Boone Elementary, all are invited to participate.
