WANA Meeting held on Tuesday, November 6, 2001

Attendance was down to 20, from the usual 40, perhaps due to the early incidence of dusk following the end of Summer Time.

Ken Alpern and Darrell Clarke of Friends 4 Expo Transit were the invited speakers at this meeting. They were enthusiastic about the newly approved Light Rail route from downtown LA to Venice Blvd at Robertson (in Culver City). When the subject of the continuation west of this line was raised, our guests were surprised to find that their audience favored a route along Venice Blvd., to tie in eventually with a future north-south line from Santa Monica to LAX, rather than a route to Santa Monica along Exposition Blvd.
