What will happen to Lakewood/Dry Gulch in 2005?

At this month?’s meeting, you will have a chance to ask questions about the future of the Lakewood/Dry Gulch open space. Future plans for the area include the West Corridor light rail line going through the park along the existing rail lines. Neighborhood Bond funds allocated in the late 90?’s has improved the park with playgrounds, walkways, signage and lighting. Additional improvements are still planned which include a disk golf course. However, the park still goes undedicated and could have many more changes before the final park lines are established.

The Villa Park Neighborhood Association is working with Sloan?’s Lake Citizens Group on the West Colfax Plan. This Plan will include strategies for the light rail stops and areas for revitalization.
Come to the next Villa Park Neighborhood Association Meeting to let your voices be heard. Villa Park Neighborhood Association has been working on this project for years. We want to get some answers from the Parks and Recreation department on a timeline for the dedication of this park. We need your help to express this request.
