Different neighborhoods affected by this development are negotiating with the developer according to their needs. Some of the issues Villa Royale was concerned with were the density and quality. We were also concerned with the remainder of the 18 holes staying a golf course and not being developed with homes. The 8-year old issue of the retention basin condition was also an issue.
The developer has worked with us and the other neighborhoods. They have decreased the density and it looks like the end produt will be quite nice with stone on the exterior of the homes creating the 'old world' feel. Other gains for Villa Royale include a deed restriction that states the golf course will remain for 30 years. The 11th hole retention area will be landscaped and maintained by the golf course. This retention area issue has been an ongoing issue for 8 years.
