Reply to ever heard of

What right do you have to call someone an idiot? If you knew me you would know I have one of the best looking homes in this subdivision. I will not call you an idiot, but when was the last time you heard of, or saw anyone's driveway in BBF being sealed with motor oil???????????????????????????

Maybe you should send out a Gypsy alert. Then I know people will think you are????

To the original poster: There are many really good deals out there for sealing your driveway. Don't let this poster scare you. Just ask for a reference when they give you a quote.

Advice from Gypsy alert

So what would your advice be? Just sounded like the origanal poster wanted some advice on her driveway. You just seem to know it all. What would you do?? What is your advice on the best sealer?

( Jeeze ) We need to know the wisdom from the person who thinks they know it all.
WD-40

You can seal your driveway with WD-40, but you will need like 40,000 cans.
For those too lazy to Gogl

Straight from the bbb website:

Home Improvement Scams

Every spring home improvement scams crop up like weeds and the Bureau receives complaints from consumers who have been fleeced by phony contractors. You can avoid being victimized by recognizing these popular scams:

Driveway Sealant Scam: Itinerant contractors show up on door steps claiming they have left over materials from a previous job and can seal your driveway for a rock-bottom price. After paying for the job upfront, the ''contractor'' may slather an ineffective substance -- such as crude motor oil -- on your driveway and be on to his next victim.
Driveway Repair Scams: Like the sealant scam, phony contractors target neighborhoods offering dirt-cheap prices to repair driveways. They want to begin work on the spot and usually do not have a contract.
